Suprisngly, Bailey was behaving and not causing a scene, which was something he tended to do. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. The mall was actually quite busy for it being the middle of the summer and through the week. He had expected most people to have to work and those who didn't would be at home trying to beat the heat. Then again, the place was air conditioned and at the moment felt like a meat locker. Although, it probably didn't help that he was standing right infront of the slushie shop, which was obviously going to be pretty cold. After all, slushies were just flavoured ice and ice melted when it got to warm. When the line moved, so did he and so did Richard. Who was Richard? Why, he was the senior member of band security and also the only member of security to know about everything about Bailey. He waited until he thought the older man was looking away to glance over towards him. He was dressed pretty normally compared to what the teen had seen him in before but like always, he wasn't allowed to ditch the walkie talkie that was clipped to his shirt near his shoulder. It was really the only thing that make him stand out but since he didn't stand out that much, Bailey wasn't too focused on dragging him out of the store. Although Bailey dragging Richard anywhere was kind of impossible.
Finally, he was at the counter and after a short wait on the lady to clear the register from the person before him, he got to order. "Can I get a cherry slushie, please?'" He asked in a voice that matched the sweet smile on his face. Oh yeah, he knew how to suck up to people when he wanted to. The girl just looked down to him and nodded while cracking her gum. Yeah, it was one of those teenagers who acted like they didn't want the job they had just to be cool. "Sure," She replied to him before heading off to the back to make his order. He slouched forward against the counter and looked over his shoulder at Richard who was looking in the opposite direction at something else while muttering into the walkie talkie on the front of his shoulder. "What did I do now?" He whined lightly as he pushed out his bottom lip in one of those pouty faces. The older man just looked at him with a small smile and shook his head without saying anything. Bailey knew that he wasn't in trouble, after all, he hadn't done anything..yet.
He looked back to the girl behind the counter when she sat his cup down infront of him and read off his total. He stood up straight again and reached into his pocket to get his wallet out and pull the correct bills out. "Would you like to donate a dollar for different charities?" She asked in an absent voice as she started to count out his change. Being the nice person that Bailey was, there was no way he was going to say no to something that went to charity. Besides, he could spare a dollar, it wasn't like he couldn't get another one from Baylin or Blake. "Yeah, why not?" He agreed in a tone that started out with a chirp and ended with him clearing the back of his throat. Stupid late puberty. "Thank you, just put your name on this card," She told him in that same bored voice as she took the dollar from him and pushed the medium size rocking horse shaped card towards him. Without thinking, he picked the pen up from the counter and scrawled his name out across the horse. Pushing the card back to the girl, she glanced at it and was about to put it aside to tape up later but for some reason, did a double take. It hit Bailey a little too late that some people knew his name and not his face.
"You're Bailey Larson? From Something Spastic? No way," It was at that moment, that he wondered if girls knew they were talking super loud when they were excited or if they just became volume deaf when it happened. Either way, the teens that had been close enough to hear, were soon coming over to see what the girls fuss was about. "I guess?" He squeaked as he picked up his slushie and sipped on it a moment, glancing around at the slowly forming crowd. Luckily, there seemed to be more adults in the area so there really wasn't that many people. Out of nowhere, Richard was pulling him away by the back of his shirt, which startled Bailey obviously, and so what did he do? He swore like a sailor and flailed one arm since his other arm was occupied with holding his just bought slushie. When it came to slushies, they were just too good to waste. It was only when Richard deemed that Bailey wasn't going to cause another scene did he let the small teen go. "Next time warn me, yeah?" The blonde complained before sipping up some more of his slushie and heading into the music store without much of a plan in mind.
Quietly, he browsed through the many sections of the store, humming numerous songs to himself when he'd stumble across a band he knew. At one point, he ended up finding his own bands demo and what did he have to do? He had to dance, that's what. It wasn't much of a dance, but it was still odd none the less. Seriously, how many normal people danced in the middle of store? Then again, Bailey wasn't a normal person, now was he? His little dance continued for a few minutes before he realized that some people were looking at him and even though he didn't really care they were watching, he figured Richard would have a cow if another person were to recognize him, so he stopped and just went back to calmly looking through the multitude of cd's. That was until he took a huge slurp of his slurpie and ended up with a massive brain freeze. "Ah, fuck, cold."
